Why I love the Canadian health care system

Read this, for what life's like in the US. Here, I can hire someone to look after my kids or mow the lawn without worrying about what'll happen to them if they get sick. Here, I can quit my job and start a business, without worrying about what would happen to me if I get sick. Here, you're covered when you move here permanently from the minute you cross the border, please register and start paying your fair share within the first few months when you get around to it. No waiting period, no preexisting conditions exclusion, no medical reasons you'd suddenly get denied coverage. Everybody pays, so rates are reasonable. Everybody's covered, so no resources get wasted fighting over exactly who gets covered for what, and who foots the bill. I'm not saying it's perfect, I'm not saying it's the only way to run things, but most Canadians just do not understand how lucky we are.
